$100,000 Gift from the David & Carole Myers Foundation!

Our Forest Fund is thrilled to announce that the David & Carole Myers Foundation has gifted $100,000 to Our Forest Fund’s campaign to save the trees in the Port Gamble Forest Heritage Park.

Their generous donation will be further amplified by the 8 times match of an anonymous donor combined with state monies. Thus their $100,000 will conserve $900,000 worth of trees. What a gift!

David and Carol’s investment in the environment is moving us closer toward our goal of protecting nearly 756 acres of trees in the PGFHP and helps activate 20% of our match for this project. The diverse ages of these stands of trees will help the overall resiliency of the park’s forest habitat, so essential in mitigating the impacts of climate change.

We applaud their vision in saving the forest at this critical time. Please join our partners David and Carol and help us raise the remaining $329,658 before October 31, to protect essential wildlife habitat, recreation trails, and the heart of tree canopy in Port Gamble.
