Local Business Matching Fund Spring Campaign

Last fall, we put together a matching fund with pledges from local businesses to match donations from the public. $12,250 was pledged by local businesses and companies and became our fundraising goal for November.  Our Forest Fund supporters met that challenge by raising that and more in just one month!

The donations from businesses were doubled, and individual donations were doubled by them! Twice the trees saved!

As announced in Dec, we are doing a Spring Matching Campaign, since it is so motivating for everybody. Clearly, tree-lovers like a challenge… We will collect pledges through Valentine’s Day, Feb 14th, and then announce the match challenge.  We will have until March 11 — coinciding with Kitsap Great Give Day — to come up with the matching money.

So please help us get the word out. First to local businesses, companies and organizations. This is a great way for them to show their customer base that they support the environment, the community and Kitsap Parks. Then talk to your friends and family. Do you know someone who cares about forests and the environment? Tell them about this opportunity to save more trees!
